ABOUT THE FUND
The charity fund for social support of various spiritual confessions ‘Islam and the World’ was established in 1999 in Moscow. From 2000 to 2014 the Foundation ‘Islam and Peace’ was established in 1999 in Moscow. The ‘Islam and the World’ Foundation did not carry out any activities. The new registration of the Foundation was carried out on 17 June 2014 by the Main Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in Moscow. During the period of its activity, the Foundation participated in various programmes, including the project ‘Moscow to Muscovites and Russians’, in which the Andrey Pervozvanny Charitable Foundation and the Blagovest Foundation worked alongside the Foundation. Under the auspices of the Foundation, charity events were organised in Bashkiria, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Dagestan, Karachayevk Cherkessia, the Chechen Republic and other regions of the Russian Federation.
The Foundation ‘Islam and the World’ conducted programmes in the Russian Federation, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The President of the Foundation was a participant of the meeting of the World Islamic Conference 1999 in Islamabad, Pakistan. In the same year, the Foundation took part in the LDPR action in Iraq and in the Oil for Food project.
The Foundation ‘Islam and the World’ conducted programmes in the Russian Federation, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The President of the Foundation was a participant of the meeting of the World Islamic Conference 1999 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Foundation actively worked with the Russian parliamentary parties, the Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Islamic clergy of the Russian Federation, and the Rabbinate of the Russian Federation. The main principle of activity is interconfessional co-operation and assistance to representatives of various spiritual confessions.
In 2022 it was decided to resume active activities due to the aggravation of the international situation, new challenges and threats to the interests of the Russian Federation. The Foundation has never prioritised commercial activities and profits from its activities. No financial irregularities have been detected by the state structures during the period of the Foundation's operation. The reputation image of the Foundation has never been negatively assessed. The priorities of the Foundation's work are to help prevent interconfessional and interethnic disagreements and conflicts, radicalism within confessional processes in society. Active interconfessional dialogue and interaction.
