Ramil Latypov, President of the Islam and Peace Foundation, met with Farit Farisov, Chairman of the Regional Public Organisation - Tatar National Cultural Autonomy of Moscow, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia, at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
The issue of representation of F.F. Farisov as a member of the Board of Trustees to the ‘Islam and Peace’ Foundation was discussed, and consent and approval was received. At the meeting the questions about more productive inter-confessional co-operation and a number of other topics concerning the life and activity of the Russian society were raised. Farid Farisov emphasised the importance and necessity of civil society participation in ensuring social stability, internal security and integrity of our multi-ethnic and multi-confessional Motherland Russia. The meeting was held in a constructive and warm atmosphere, and the participants decided on joint activities.
